Traditional & Delicious Key Lime Pie!

keylime-pie-front I grew up in the valley in LA so I never had a real key lime pie growing up. When I had it I’m sure it always that stuff that looks funny because the filling came out of a can or something. It shouldn’t be green first of all lol I moved to Florida in 2004 and had my first piece of REAL key lime pie and have been a huge fan ever since. I’m not a big fan of baking but this is one of those exceptions simply because it’s so good! I make mine really tart and put real homemade whipped cream on top. I usually make my own graham cracker crust but time is of the essence here on Youtube so I cheated and bought one from the store!
Enjoy this one…and take the 20 minutes to make it yourself!
What You’ll Need & Recipe:
1 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crust
3 cups sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup sour cream
3/4 cup key lime juice
1 tablespoon grated lime zest
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, combine condensed milk, sour cream, lime juice, and lime rind. Mix well and pour into graham cracker crust.
Bake in preheated oven for 5 to 8 minutes, until tiny pinhole bubbles burst on the surface of pie. DO NOT BROWN! Chill pie thoroughly before serving. Garnish with lime slices and whipped cream if desired. keylime-pie1 keylime-pie2 keylime-pie3 keylime-pie4 keylime-pie5 keylime-pie6 keylime-pie7 keylime-pie8 keylime-pie9 keylime-pie10 keylime-pie11 keylime-pie12 keylime-pie13 keylime-pie14 keylime-pie15 For all my videos checkout
