French Truffle Mashed Potatoes!
Sometimes you just have to own up to the fact that the French are far far superior to the rest of the world with certain foods. Anything involving butter or cream is one of those times. I have traveled all over France and one of the many things that sticks in my memory are the mashed truffle potatoes I had in Dijon, France. I cannot begin to tell you how amazing they were. I had never had anything like it before, so I have made it my mission to try and come close to making them in the same manner. I have actually gotten pretty close and I’ll keep trying! You HAVE to try this. This might change your attitude towards french food all by itself!
What You’ll Need:
4 boiled & peeled potatoes
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup milk
3 garlic cloves
2 Bay leaves
1 table spoon black truffle oil
1/2 cup of unsalted sweet cream butter
