Seared Ahi Tuna – Viewer Request!

I have had several requests to show some of my favorite things that I cook for myself the most often. The one thing I make myself more than anything else is seared Ahi Tuna. It’s simple healthy and soooo good!
The most important thing is the quality of the tuna and it HAS to be fresh, sushi-grade Ahi Tuna. Do NOT get frozen tuna because it will not be anywhere near the quality and you will be so disappointed! I can’t stress that enough!
It’s so simple and only takes a few minutes to prepare.
Get yourself a beautiful piece of ahi tuna from a fish market. Roll it in sesame seeds so that it’s coated on both sides. Place it on a hot skillet or griddle on each side for about 3 minutes (depending on thickness of course!) while it’s searing, mix some low sodium soy sauce and wasabi (I LOVE mango wasabi!)

Sear on all sides and slice and enjoy!
