What You’ll Need:
1 thick cut NY Strip Steak
2 cloves garlic
1/2 cup of fresh arugula
1/2 cup of mayonaise
1 tsp olive oil
1 small red potato
preheat oven to 450 degrees
put your garlic, mayo and arugula into your blender and then add your olive oil. blend until creamy and totally mixed.
lay your steak out and add your sauce to the top smoothing it out evenly to cover the entire steak.
Place steak on ventilated pizza pan to allow heat to totally surround the steak, with a pan on the rack below to catch the drippings.
pour olive oil in a skillet and heat.
bake 1 small red potato in oven or in microwave. Smash it into a flat cake shape. add to skillet and brown on each side.
sprinkle with sea salt and remove once both sides are nice and golden brown.
lay a bed of arugula on your plate to make a bed for your steak.
remove your steak after 15 minutes for medium rare and place on cutting board. allow it to sit for 10 minutes so the juices can redistribute throughout the steak before slicing. Slice thin and lay across the bed of arugula. this will heat the leaves and bring out flavors you will be amazed by!
add your potato cake to your plate and dig in!
